LA FUNCIÓN DE NUTRICIÓN

En la función de nutrición intervienen cuatro sistemas o aparatos:

el aparato digestivo, el aparato respiratorio, el sistema circulatorio y el aparato excretor.

La visita que íbamos a hacer al parque de Doñana la tendremos que dejar para el curso próximo. Por eso nos podemos acercar a Doñana de otra manera . Os presento el siguiente vídeo que dura 24 minutos y que nos presenta el parque de Doñana y lugares que visitaremos el próximo curso.

UNIT 2 : THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE LIVING THINGS

We classify living things into groups called kingdoms.
There are five different kingdoms:
- The Monera Kingdom
- The Protoctista Kingdom
- The Fungi Kingdom
- The Plant kingdom
- The Animal Kingdom : Vertebrates and Invertebrates

CONTENT ABOUT INVERTEBRATES:

Invertebrates are animals that don´t have a backbone

- They belong to the Animal Kingdom

- Invertebrate animals are classified into six groups.

PORIFERA	BODY: soft body with pores Ex: Sponges
MOLLUSCS	BODY: soft body and almost with a hard shell Ex: Mussels, snails, oysters and octopuses
CNIDARIANS	BODY: soft body and some have tentacles Ex: Jellyfish
ARTHROPODS	BODY: have an exoskeleton Ex: Insects, spiders and crustaceans
ANNELIDS	BODY: have a long, soft body divided into rings Ex: Segmented worms and leeches
ECHINODERMS	BODY: some have bodies covered with spines and some have tentacles Ex: starfish and sea urchins

What body coverings do invertebrates have?

We can find three different body coverings in invertebrates:

hard shell, exoskeleton and soft body.

HARD SHELL	Snails and oysters
EXOSKELETON	Ants , scorpions and beetles
SOFT BODY	Sponges, jellyfish, octopuses and leeches

UNIT 1 : THE ORGANISATION OF LIVING THINGS

In this unit you will learn about...

- Cells ( pages 6-7)

All living things are made up of cells.

Cells are the basic unit of life.

Cells are living things with the life processes : interaction, nutrition and reproduction.

Unicellular organism : one only cell (bacteria)

Multicellular organism: many cells ( trees)

ANIMAL CELL	PLANT CELL
Nucleus : Controls everything that happen inside the cell. Cytoplasm : It is a clear liquid ( salt and water) . Contains all the organelles. Cells work together to carry out a variety of functions.

From the smallest to the largest:

Basic unit of life

TISSUE:

Each type of tissue has a specific function.

For example , the muscle tissue.

ORGANS:

Tissue+tissue+tissue+… = Organ

Example : the heart

SYSTEMS:

Organ+organ+organ+… = System

Example: the circulatory system

The basic life processes are carry out by different systems.
